anti consumerism
Extremely americanized. Russia has been consuming American culture for more than 30 years and keeps consuming it even now.

Younger generations have grown on US cartoons, movies and TV shows. Russia cannot compete with Hollywood.
Moreover, Russian Ministry of Culture is not that supportive of culture. Most successful Russian media projects stem from Soviet era. There are few exceptions but they just prove the rule.
Things have gone better with Russian cartoons and child movies in last few years, but not with content for teens and young adults. As for “serious” content… I think that Russian movie industry is still in deep pit. Anti-Russian “serious movies”, stupid comedies, cardboard patriotic movies. Few exceptions but we can’t talk about “Russian cinematograph” as influential even in Russia, not speaking of other countries.
That’s just my opinion.
So, I think that Russia is extremely americanized and it will take several generations to de-americanize. Not sure if it is necessary, though. Sinization won’t be better.

China has also been under influence of American culture for decades. But Xi Jinping has called for self-confidence in our own culture (Chinese culture). I think Russia could do similar. Russian should have confidence in its own culture. Every country has its own culture - be it African, Asian, Latin American, etc.
