I feel so bad for those people. They’re so inconvenienced—luggage stolen, missed their flight and no room. That little thieving liar sure did cause a lot of problems for these folks.

She got off with only spending a few months in jail and a fine. She should have received a minimum six months in jail and a fine between $1,500 and $2,000.

This is why I dislike bag drops. I would rather pay for an extra hotel night….secure a late check out….get an early check in. I want my bags in a room. Always. And i secure our valuables in a safe.

We were medical professionals in high school because we received CPR certifications. I am pretty sure that qualified us to be cardiothoracic surgeons or something.

@billstill1794 people who get off or most their charges dismissed probably had a very good lawyer. Those who get nailed with every charge probably had no lawyer and just plead to every offense.

Should get at least a year, had she got away with this, the real owners would've needed to go through lots of annoying stuff with insurance or just lost out.

I'm actually quite surprised she got any time at all. I can't tell you how many of these cop-cam videos I've seen where suspects get nothing but probation for MULTIPLE assaults on police officers, threats, resisting, etc. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume this "lady" has a lengthy record, and was maybe even on probation already. I know, it's a stretch, but...

@216trixie Fantastic? Our court system is so lenient it’s ridiculous. The punishment shouldn’t be compared to other punishments, it should fit the crime. People don’t fear getting arrested or having a record bc everything is pled down. And the more charges, the more bargaining power for the criminal. The DAs will drop the more serious charges for lesser charges, the courts give chance after chance, and then offer a way to clear it from their record.

@drdave8607 she probably couldn’t afford bail and it took 106 days to have her trial, and she was sentenced to time served. Otherwise, why the odd number of days? And i agree with u that so many are so heinous at the scene, and the charges still get dropped.

I’m surprised she got any jail time at all!! Normally the charges are dropped or they get some sweetheart deal because the D.A. doesn’t have the “time” to prosecute such “petty” cases.
